Postby SMTest » Sun Jul 03, 2005 11:09 pm

Without additional information I can't even begin to guess. I need:

Operating system version
AWC version
PC specification (CPU, Memory, Video card)
When does the page fault arise? Launch program, change picture.

Nobody's reported a problem like this before so it might take some digging to get a solution.

If you look under Task Manager in WIndows XP. Then click "View" then "Select columns"and select Page Faults you will see what I'm talking about. AWC always has the most Page Faults on any machine I've seen it run on. It doesn't cause any real crashes, but it obviously has issues. I have seen it on 5 different machines with different configs, but all with XP.
Thanks! :D

I think you've misunderstood what is meant by 'page fault'. This is not an error indicator. Microsoft describes the page fault indicator as
The number of times that data had to be retrieved from disk for this process because it was not found in memory. This value is accumulated from the time the process is started.

For more info try Google.
