Changing BG colour

Hey,

I've just started using this program and it's pretty good. However, there was one thing I was wondering.

I am currently using XP and it's working fine but some of my images don't fit my screen properly. I have chosen to not have the program resize these as the stretching distorts the image, I would rather have it retain it's original size. This means that for these pictures, I will have bars of unused space on the screen. Currently, AWC has this set to blue, whereas a program I formally used changed it to black, which I thought looked far better.

So, how would I change the BG colour from blue to black>

AWC uses the colour that is set by Windows as the background colour. To change it under XP Open Display in control panel - click the appearance tab - click the Advanced button - make sure that Desktop is the item selected - use the colour picker to pick a colour -click OK and then OK again.

Did you know that you can change the background to something a bit more eye-catching than a plain colour? If you go to preferences/Image Processing you can pick a background image that AWC will paint onto the screen before displaying your wallpaper image on top of it.

It seems that when I do that, it changes one of the bars in my browser to black, which is annoying. Any way around this?
